Teaching

I teach electric/acoustic guitar in local schools as well as privately to all abilities in the North London area and lessons can also be arranged over Skype. Tuition is planned around your goals and needs, ensuring that what we work on is meaningful and relevant to you. For example:

  • Beginner? I enjoy teaching beginners because I get to share their joy in playing guitar for the very first time! Learn quicker by starting off on the right path from day one with lesson material designed around you – saving time and money in the long term.
  • Been playing for some time? I can help you get over your pesky playing plateaus and fix some of those less helpful habits. Broaden your stylistic knowledge in blues, folk, rock, jazz, and pop.
  • Serious? We can focus on those advanced skills such as sight-reading, ear training, improvising, lead playing, music theory and more. You can also complete Rockschool and RGT grades.

Through completing a music performance degree in jazz guitar at Birmingham Conservatoire I have had lessons from many great teachers and have applied this to real world performing experience in many styles up and down the country at a variety of venues. I have taught musicians aged 6-60+ and can help you develop fundamental musical skills that matter regardless of genre.
